Livestock and arable farming are an important aspect of our region. Val d'Arly has been awarded the "paysage and produits de reconquête" (landscape and product revitalisation) label by the Ministry of the Environment.

FLUMET: The cooperative cheese dairy makes “DAIRY” REBLOCHON (made using milk from different sources).

St NICOLAS la Chapelle: The GAEC du Crêt du Midi produces FARMHOUSE REBLOCHON (made using milk from a single source).

REBLOCHON, one of Savoie's riches, is an “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée” cheese. It is made from un-pasteurised milk from local breeds of cattle, and has an ivory-coloured paste with a very smooth texture. It is matured in cool cellars for 3 to 4 weeks. With its unique texture and smell, it has become the best-selling Savoie cheese in terms of quantity. Production methods are strictly monitored to ensure they comply with the “Appellation d'Origine Controllée” specification.
