Classification awarded by the decree of 18th June 1969.
The season begins on 17th December 2005, with the opening of FLUMET's ski lifts, and ends at Easter.
VAL D'ARLY, dominated by the mass of Mont-Blanc, has an excellent micro-climate: no fog, exceptional snow cover, in terms of both quantity and quality, and maximum sunshine.
FLUMET is at the gates of an extensive ski area with 180km of ski runs. A network of chairlifts and draglifts whisk you from 1000 metres to 2070 metres and give access to the new ESPACE DIAMANT area, open from Christmas 2005.
The ESPACE DIAMANT includes the village-resorts of Crest-Voland Cohennoz + FLUMET + Notre Dame de Bellecombe + Praz sur Arly + Les Saisies. Skiing for all amongst truly exceptional scenery!
The ESPACE VAL D'ARLY includes the village-resorts of FLUMET + Notre Dame de Bellecombe + Crest-Voland Cohennoz.
90km of connected ski runs between Flumet and Notre Dame de Bellecombe; A free shuttle bus service links the ski areas of Bellecombe and Crest-Voland (journey time approx. 10 minutes).
A network of snow machines gives guaranteed snow cover;
2.5km of free cross-country ski trails around the lake at Flumet.
The ski school (ESF) provides group and private lessons throughout the season,
Sledging runs at Les Evettes and Les Seigneurs.
Snowshoe trails from Les Evettes to FLUMET and as far as Praz sur Arly... guided snowshoe outings...
